Hi everyone,

I hope you're all doing well and I hope that you and your families and
staffs are staying safe and healthy.

I've been listening to many of you, more than usual, over the past few
months. Congratulations to all for making a huge difference at a time when
more people than ever have been tuning in, streaming our content, or
listening to our podcasts and on demand offerings.

We have a couple of items for you:

State Funding
The group is reaching out to Governor Newsom's office, plus other State
leaders, to describe the work of public media in California in response to
Covid-19, and to express our willingness to collaborate in the future to
help meet the needs of Californians.

Super-Regional
The decision to cancel the 9th Annual Super-Regional Conference originally
scheduled for October 7-9, 2020 in Denver was made by the Public Radio
Regional Organizations.

It's been rescheduled for November 15-17, 2021, in Denver. I think we'll be
ready to sit in the same room by then, assuming all goes well,
pandemic-wise!

I also want to note that Georgette Bronfman is retiring from Eastern Public
Media and from the Super-Regional conference. She conceived of and put her
heart and soul into the Super-Regional, and is responsible for the growing
relevance and content of the conference. I wish her all the best as she
heads into retirement!

Stay safe and well.
