Station Culture Matters: Let's Put Journalism First
Public media is seeing record numbers as audiences turn to our stations and network programs for thoughtful, fair and contextual journalism and news and public affairs programming. But is there a disconnect with the promises we make to our audience and our true commitment to journalism? At this session, we will explore how a year-long push to improve public media journalism is taking hold at stations across the country. And we will also consider the ways in which station leadership can get in the way of a true 'Culture of Journalism.'
Speakers:
--  Shula Neuman, Executive Editor, St. Louis Public Radip
--  Mark Memmott, Standards & Practices Editor, NPR
--  Terry Gildea, Executive Director, PRNDI
--  Joyce Slocum, President & CEO, Texas Public Radio
